Marsh Productions Entertainment Agency began in the early ‘60s, when Marsh Edelstein started promoting music in his early teens. He opened a teen club on Minneapolis’ north side called The Camden Bank where groups like The Underbeats, The Accents, The Del Counts, and others played. While at the University of Minnesota, he continued booking bands at Nightclubs and Ballrooms throughout the Midwest. Eventually he rented a building on Lake Street in Minneapolis and built an extremely successful Agency that represented over 200 Bands.

“He knows more major record execs than Simon Cowell and Eliot Spitzer combined,” says former business partner, Steven Greenberg. Greenberg penned “Funkytown” and worked with Marsh at Marsh Productions in the 1970s, as part of Flight Records, which recorded Fairchild, Cain, Dame and others. “He’s a legendary figure not just here but in the business on both coasts for managing people like Dez Dickerson while Dez was still playing in Prince’s first Revolution band."

He took a short hiatus from the music industry and opened two short-lived Nightclubs in Minneapolis, called — what else but “Marsh’s Nightclub.” One club was in the Lumber Exchange Building and the other in North Loop. When the Nightclubs closed, he then took a position as the Corporate Director of Entertainment with Grand Casino and booked all of the National Acts for multiple locations, as well as local bands for their casino lounges. This included the likes of Aretha Franklin, Tom Jones, Willie Nelson, Don Rickles, Joan Rivers, Johnny Cash, Jay Leno, Tina Turner, The Beach Boys and Chicago, to name a few.

He left Grand Casino and went back to his namesake agency where he resides today, continuing to book all varieties of entertainment for corporate, wedding or private events. Marsh’s experience is unparalleled to anyone in the industry today. Marsh is a fixture in the Minnesota music scene and has more experience than anyone when it comes to booking and managing entertainment.
